CURRICULUM ADVANTAGE

The First Year of the course covers the foundational subjects which impart to the students a sound knowledge of the essential functional areas of business and management.

In the second year, the emphasis shifts to elective courses, giving the students a choice to specialise in areas of their interest and acquire advanced knowledge and skills.

Special attention is given to incorporate add-on courses on Python, R, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI and SixSigma, that make the students industry ready.

We adopt contemporary curriculum which is reviewed and updated every year in consultation with Industry leaders, alumni, students and faculty.

The Summer Internship Programme(SIP) and Socially Useful and Productive Activity(SUPA) provides the students direct interaction with corporates and an exposure to management issues. They learn about the functioning of NGOs and managerial problems faced by them.

The autonomous stature of the college brings flexibility in the curriculum to incorporate industry innovations such as live projects, mentoring and industry research, which provide the students global exposure.

COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION SYSTEM

Performance in each course is evaluated separately. It is based on a continuous and multifaceted system of periodic quizzes, class tests, midterm tests, home assignments, class performance and end-term written examination. As a general rule, the final end-term examination is not given more than 50% weightage in deciding the grade of a course. The grading system is as follows:

QUALIFYING REQUIREMENT

A minimum standard of academic performance is required on the part of the student, to qualify for the award of the diploma. A minimum CGPA of 4.5 is required for the promotion from the first year to the second year and a CGPA of 5 (average of B grade) is required at the end of the second year to be awarded the PGDM.

ATTENDANCE

Students are required to be on time for classes and regular in their attendance. 100 percent attendance in each course is expected of every student. Absence is permitted for reasons such as sickness, accidents, bereavements or officially assigned work. However, such absence should not exceed 10 percent in a course.
