Kishore Thomas John is a Ph.D research scholar at the Department of Management Studies, IIT-Madras (since January 2018). He specializes in the Marketing Area. With close to 6.5 years of experience in academics and industry, his past work experience includes working as an Assistant Professor at Rajagiri Business School, Kochi from 2011-2014. Thereafter, he had a short stint as a Business Development manager in the test-prep segment, following which he worked as a consultant for an educational cooperative society in Kasaragod, Kerala during 2015-16. From 2016 to 2018, Kishore had worked in the energy sector, as the Editor of an energy conglomerate dominating the national power transmission and distribution business. He completed his MBA from School of Management Studies (SOMS), NIT-Calicut during 2009-11 and his B.Tech (Mechanical) from TKM College of Engineering, University of Kerala during 2004-08. Kishore is also an Alumnus of IIM-Ahmedabad (FDP: Jun-Sep 2013).

As of January 2023, he has published 8 academic articles in reputed journals of which 6 are in SCOPUS, 3 in Web of Science, and 2 are in the ABDC (C) category. He is currently working on completing his thesis, and concentrating on publishing his core research paper.
