Dr. P. Amalanathan has graduated in B.Com from St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli and Post-Graduation in M.Com. from Loyola College (Autonomous), Chennai. He has done his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Manonmanium Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. In addition, he is also the Master degree holder in Education (M.Ed.) as well as in Management (M.B.A. Finance).

He joined as Senior Assistant Professor in XIME, Bangalore, on 14th June, 2013. After the First term, he was asked to move XIME, Kochi Campus. From Sept. 2013 to January, 2017, as an Accounting and Finance Faculty, he also served as HOD, Officiating director, and Director of XIME, Kochi Campus in the same period. From January 2017 onwards, he moved to XIME, Bangalore and worked there till Dec. 2019. Prior to joining XIME, he has served as Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor in the Department of Commerce and Management of different reputed educational institutions like, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Tirunelveli, Pope John Paul II College of Education, Pondicherry and Gnanamani Institute of Management Studies, Rasipuram, Namakkal (Dt.) Tamil Nadu, for more than 17 years.

He has presented more than 12 research papers in the areas of commerce, education and management at the National and International Level Seminars and Conferences organized by different Colleges and Universities in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry U.T. and Karnataka. He has published 15 research articles in the reputed National as well as International journals. He has also written a chapter in one edited book titled as “Development of Agriculture-Trends and Challenges” compiled by Dr.V. Vijalakshmi, in the “Southern Economist Golden Jubilee Publication”, in March, 2011. He has guided the research projects of more than 10 M.Phil. distant mode students of Alagappa university, Karaikudi, in the years 2009 -11. Earlier he was one among the other recognized Ph.D. guides of XIME Research Centre, Bangalore, affiliated to Mysore University (2015-2019) as well as in the Faculty of Management Sciences, Sri Ramachandra Institute for Higher Education and Research (DU), Porur, Chennai-600 116 (2020-21). He was the recipient of “The Best Teacher-2015” award by GRABS, an Educational Charitable Trust, based at Chrompet, Chennai, in November, 2015.
