Dr. Suresh Nanda Kumar, CPSM, is a Senior Assistant Professor at XIME, Chennai.

He holds a PhD in Operations from the Pondicherry University and UGC-NET in Management. He is an MCA from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University and an MSc (IT) from the School of Computer Science and MBA from the School of Management, University Science Malaysia, Penang. He did his BSc (Physics) from Loyola College (Autonomous), Chennai. He holds an International Diploma in Supply Chain Management from the United Nations (International Trade Centre, Geneva). He is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the prestigious Institute for Supply Management, Arizona, USA. He also has several Indian certifications to his credit in SCM.

His past work experience are: Worked with the Confederation of Indian Industry at the CII Institute of Logistics as a senior faculty in their education department for nearly eight years. Before joining CII, he was a faculty at the Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai for Operations and Information Systems. Prior to Great Lakes he served as a lecturer at the Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He was earlier working in Germany in the Stuttgart Institute of Management and Technology in the field of MIS conducting research in the New Product Development issues in the automotive industry and collaborative product design and development and before that in the Multimedia Research Lab, Penang, Malaysia, from 2000 to 2004 February.

Over 16 years of experience in training, teaching, research and delivery of knowledge, in the fields of computer science, IT and management. He has also taught at various colleges, institutes and universities all over India. He has been an invited speaker at both engineering and management institutes to speak in the areas of cloud computing and IoT in supply chain management, and other areas in IT and SCM. • He has written 7 research papers – four in international journals and 3 in conferences and co-authored two book chapters on supply chain digitization with IoT, cloud computing and in the field of Microgrids, published by Springer-Nature, Switzerland and InTech, UK.

• He has taught logistics and supply chain management and TQM courses in several organizations such as Flipkart, Gati Logistics, Tech Mahindra Academy, Sindhu Cargo, and for the trainees of TPI Wind Turbine Blades Manufacturers, at XIME, Chennai and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., at IIT Madras.

• He has attended international conferences, exhibitions and workshops on supply chain management by MHI, USA and other international organizations. He has also attended two case teaching and case writing workshops, one from the world famous The Case Centre, UK (formerly European Case Clearing House) and the other at XIME, Bangalore.
